Essent Trading at Carbon Markets Mexico and Central America

Francisco Muñoz Ledo Izaguirre, Vice President for the Americas, Essent Trading, Mexico, talked about trading and the pricing of CERs during the Carbon Markets Mexico and Central America conference on 7 October.

Francisco shared his expertise on the market, giving an update on trading and pricing options. He was joined by other international carbon buyers and traders and also reviewed different kinds of projects buyers are looking for and the factors determining price.

The session also took an in depth look at future of US demand for Mexican & Central American carbon credits.

The conference and exhibition brought together key players from the region – with particular focus on Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama and the Caribbean – with global industry experts.

The inaugural two-day conference took place in the Sheraton Maria Isabel hotels & towers, Mexico City, Mexico, from 6-7 October 2009.

Climate change post 2012

Francisco also spoke on climate change post 2012 during the British Embassy Energy Day in Mexico City on 29 September.
