Natalia Gorina, Emissions Portfolio Manager at Essent Trading, spoke at the Gold Standard Academy conference that took place in Geneva from March 24-25.
Natalia discussed the pricing of Gold Standard VERs and CERs as well as taking part in the session: Best practices: how to bring Gold Standard products to market.
The two-day conference was designed to offer an insight into Gold Standard processes for all those involved or interested in the quality carbon market and help them to bring projects through the pipeline and into the carbon marketplace more easily. The conference was split into two key themes.
Day one addressed buyer issues such as building a carbon portfolio within political and economic uncertainty, legal issues, a registry demonstration and possibilities for Gold Standard partnership.
The second day was devised for project developers and included a review of best practices and an interactive workshop to clarify Gold Standard rules.
The event was held in the Centre International de Conférences Genève (CICG), 17 Rue de Varembé, CH-1211, Geneva.
