Natalia Gorina, (see video about her day-to-day work experience) Emissions Portfolio Manager at Essent Trading, was one of the guest speakers at the Voluntary Carbon Markets seminar that took place in London on the 14 & 15 October 2008. The main theme of the seminar was “Understanding the business opportunities in the voluntary carbon markets.”

Natalia spoke in the morning session of 15 October, most notably on transparency in the market place. She detailed the different factors affecting VER prices, as well as outlining Essent Trading’s view on the transparency issues facing the voluntary carbon market. Natalia also chaired the presentations and debates during the second day of the conference.
